Cloud Architect

**Job Title:** Cloud Architect **About the Role:** As a Cloud Architect based in Dubai, you will lead the design, implementation and optimization of our cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms. Leveraging your 10+ years of experience, you will define cloud strategies, ensure security and compliance, and drive scalable, cost-effective solutions to meet business needs. **Responsibilities:** - Design and implement robust cloud architectures on AWS and Azure - Lead migration of on-premises applications and data to the cloud - Define and enforce cloud security, governance and compliance best practices - Optimize performance, reliability and cost of cloud environments - Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions - Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers - Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements - Document architecture designs, guidelines and operational procedures **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field - 10+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of 5 years in cloud architecture roles - Proven technical expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, etc.) - Proven technical expertise in Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking, Azure AD, Functions, SQL Database, etc.) - Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management and compliance frameworks - Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates) - Solid background in designing high-availability, scalable and fault-tolerant systems - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - Experience operating in multi-cloud environments **Preferred Qualifications:** - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and container orchestration - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab) - Experience with serverless architectures and microservices - Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization tools - Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) - Arabic language proficiency
