Role: IT Support Engineer/System Engineer
Work Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Employment Type: Contract – 12 months & extendable
Role Summary:
The System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role involves hands-on management of servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
Job responsibilities:
System Design & Implementation
- Plan and deploy infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, and network systems.
- Configure and manage Windows and Linux-based systems.
Virtualization & Cloud
- Maintain and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Manage hybrid infrastructure with public cloud services (Azure or AWS).
Security & Compliance
- Implement security hardening, firewall rules, and patch management processes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory.
- Experience with Azure/AWS, backup solutions, and ITSM tools.
