Requirement:
A Business Analyst analyzes an organization or business domain and documents its processes, systems, or business models.
They assess the business model and its integration with technology. Business analysts help businesses improve processes, products, services, and software through data analysis.
Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Ensure that requirements are clearly communicated and understood by all parties.
Business Process Analysis: Evaluate existing business processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop process flows, models, and diagrams to illustrate current and proposed processes.
Solution Development: Work with IT and other departments to design, develop, and implement new solutions or enhancements to existing systems. Ensure that solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. Develop reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
Project Management: Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Facilitate communication to ensure that requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications.
Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and validation of new solutions to ensure that they meet business requirements and are free of defects.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end users on new systems and processes. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions as needed.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and project management software (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think critically and identify creative solutions to complex problems.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and analysis.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
Industry Knowledge: Better to have work experience in the Government industry / Educational domain
Technical Expertise: Better to have work experience in Jira , Proto Type design , Visio software or relevant tools.
