Role: Ubuntu Administrator
Employment Type: 1 year & extendable contract, Outsourced (Long term contract)
Work Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Notice Period: Immediate joiners to a maximum of 15-30 days of notice
Required Experience:
- Must have a proven experience of 4-6 years in Ubuntu/Linux system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Dell server hardware (PowerEdge, iDRAC, RAID management).
- Expertise in Linux server hardening, patching, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with virtualization/hypervisors (VMware, KVM, or Proxmox).
- Understanding of ITIL-based Managed Services (incident, problem, change processes).
- Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall rules).
- Scripting skills like Bash, Python, or Ansible for automation, exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) are good to heave
- Knowledge of backup solutions like Veeam, Commvault, or Linux-native tools
- Familiarity with IT security frameworks ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks
