Senior Procurement Consultant

**Job Title:** Senior Procurement Consultant **About the Role:** As a Senior Procurement Consultant based in Riyadh, you will lead the development and implementation of strategic procurement initiatives for major capital expenditure projects. You will leverage your expertise in category strategy and CapEx spend management to optimize supplier relationships, drive cost efficiencies, and deliver measurable value. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will provide consultancy and hands-on support to enhance procurement processes and ensure compliance with regional regulations. Fluent Arabic is essential to engage effectively with local suppliers and internal teams. **Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute category strategies to achieve cost savings and value creation - Lead procurement activities for CapEx projects, including budgeting, sourcing, and contract negotiations - Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify opportunities and risks - Manage vendor relationships and performance evaluations - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement plans with business objectives - Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and regional best practices - Provide training and mentorship to junior procurement staff and share best practices - Prepare procurement reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field - 6-8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles with a focus on category management - Proven expertise in developing and implementing category strategies - Strong experience managing CapEx spend across large capital projects - Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) and proficient in English - Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills - In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and market analysis **Preferred Qualifications:** - Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPM) - Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Supply Chain Management) - Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle) - Prior consulting experience in procurement or supply chain advisory - Knowledge of the local Riyadh/Saudi market and regulatory environment - Additional language skills (e.g., French, Spanish) - Strong presentation and training skills
