Job Description:
• We are looking for a FHIR Consultant to lead the design, development, and implementation of FHIR-based healthcare interoperability solutions. This role combines strategic consulting with hands-on development to ensure seamless integration of healthcare systems while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in FHIR standards, FHIR implementation, API development, healthcare data exchange, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). You will work closely with internal teams, healthcare providers, vendors, and regulatory bodies to design scalable, secure, and efficient FHIR-based solutions.
Qualifications and key skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in healthcare IT, interoperability, and FHIR development.
• Strong understanding of HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and healthcare data exchange standards.
• Hands-on experience with FHIR development frameworks (e.g., HAPI-FHIR, .NET FHIR SDK, Firely).
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, XML, and healthcare data formats.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.).
• Knowledge of FHIR compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Git).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in HL7 FHIR (e.g., HL7 FHIR Proficiency Exam).
• HL7 Certification (e.g., HL7 v2/v3 Certified Specialist).
• CDA Certification (e.g., HL7 CDA Certified Specialist).
• Experience with API Management tools (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Kong).
• Knowledge of FHIR Implementation Guides (IGs) and profiling.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare interoperability.
