Job Details:

Role: Senior data engineer

Job type: 12 months contract & Extendable

Work Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Start Date: Immediate joiners to a maximum of 30 days’ notice preferred

Technologies and Skills Required: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a Data Engineer, with a focus on designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud-based data technologies, especially AWS services such as Redshift, RDS Aurora, AWS DMS, AWS Glue, and Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing is a significant advantage.
• Proficient in SQL and other programming languages used in data engineering (e.g., Python, C#).
• Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security practices.
• Solid understanding of distributed computing and parallel processing techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
